The Story

Passion Cafe in Ibiza has been the place to be for years, where many are inspired by the insanely strong concept that Lana, owner of Passion Cafe, has created. With a menu full of healthy and varied food and drinks, Lana has always been progressive.
She was the one who inspired us with her own Ayurveda Tea Collection, on the menu at Passion Cafe there have been 3 different infusions based on the different dosha types within Ayurveda for a long time.
Pieter and Lana have known each other for several years through the island, partly because of their entrepreneurial drive and by doing what they like to do, they inspire each other to go to the extreme... also with the Biodegradable Ayurveda Tea Collection.
At Passion they work with our Biodegradable Tea Collection, but they also serve the Biodegradable Ayurveda Tea Collection from Cafe Couture.

The holistic approach in which food, but certainly also herbs play an important role in finding balance in the health and well-being of people, is something we can identify with at Cafe Couture. And of course Ayurveda is so much more than just food and herbs, Functional Nutritionist, Ayurvedic lifestyle & Guthealth coach, Herbalist Lily Joan takes us into the world of Ayurveda in a blog she wrote and which we published via the online coaching platform YOUR WAY OF LIFE.

With the most specific and only the very best quality herbs, we started to put together a tea collection, in which the 3 different infusions match the 3 Ayurvedic dosha types. Of course you will only find pure products in this blend, without any additions of aromas.
We offer the Ayurveda Tea Collection in our well-known biodegradable pyramids, something we are still very proud of and which also fits very nicely with the Ayurvedic story.

To make the world of Ayurveda accessible, we offer the Biodegradable Ayurveda Tea Collection to our B2B customers and of course in our webshop and flagship store in Antwerp.

Cafe Couture stands for further development and raising awareness in the field of tea, matcha and coffee.
We believe there is a huge need for an Ayurvedic approach to all facets of life. We would therefore like to introduce you to this tea collection, but certainly also to the overall Ayurveda lifestyle - so really read the very extensive blog written by Lily Joan!

Which dosha type suits you? Do the dosha test here!

THE 3 DOSHA TYPES. The Doshas can be described as energies. It is the elements from which you are built that determine what your prakruti (unique blueprint) or vikruti (imbalance) is. There are five elements that make up you and can be found all around us: ether, air, fire, water and earth. Each Dosha represents two elements:

Vata – air & ether
Pitta – fire & water
Kapha – water & earth

Our body is made up of all five elements. We need all the elements to have a functioning body. This is how Vata takes care of all movement in the body, such as breathing, blood circulation and the functioning of our nervous system. Pitta takes care of all transformation, such as digesting food, processing impressions and our metabolism. Kapha takes care of the moisture in our body, lubricates the joints, keeps the skin moist and ensures that the immune system is up to standard. Kapha dosha therefore has a protective function. Often one or two doshas predominate per person.

When the doshas are in balance you feel good and you do not suffer from complaints.
But doshas can also become unbalanced, this can happen due to the change of seasons (for example: you feel more irritable in the summer and suffer more from colds in the autumn and spring). Or it could be a long-standing complaint that you just can't seem to get rid of.
The above symptoms are a sign that a dosha (or several) is out of balance and that your digestive fire is not working properly. If you do nothing about this, the dosha can manifest itself in the body, resulting in illness. Fortunately, we have Ayurveda… With simple remedies per dosha and adjusting your diet you will feel a lot better.
