Japanese Matcha filter – Smooth. Frothy. Clump-free.

Want your matcha bowl to always be lump-free, smooth, and frothy? Then the Japanese Matcha filter is indispensable. This fine-mesh sieve made of high-quality stainless steel ensures your matcha powder is always airy and smooth, resulting in a creamy foam and a silky smooth taste. An essential tool for anyone who wants to fully enjoy the unique flavor and many health benefits of matcha .

Why use a Matcha filter?

During a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, matcha is always strained first. This prevents lumps and creates a lighter foam. In Western cuisine, this is often skipped – but it's this simple step that makes all the difference. With the Japanese matcha filter :

No lumps in your matcha bowl

Lighter and easier whisking

A softer taste and better foam layer

Benefits of the Japanese Matcha filter

Specially designed fine mesh sieve for matcha powder

Durable and stylish stainless steel

Handy handle to place above your bowl

Ideal for daily use and matcha ceremonies

Perfect to combine with a matcha kit (bowl, whisk, spoon & premium matcha)

How do you use the Matcha filter?

1. Place the filter above your matcha bowl .

2. Add 1 bamboo spoon of matcha.

3. Rub gently with the back of the spoon so that the powder falls through the sieve.

4. Add 60–70 ml water (70°C).

5. Beat with a whisk in a ∞ (infinity) motion.

Pro tip: Always filter before whisking – this makes your matcha smoother and more intensely flavored.

A matcha filter and the matcha plant

The matcha plant (Camellia Sinensis) is cultivated with great care, growing in shade for weeks to enhance its chlorophyll and antioxidants. By filtering the powder, you preserve its full flavor and experience all the matcha benefits : increased energy, improved focus, and powerful antioxidants.
