Our matcha comes from Uji, Japan, the region known for centuries for the highest quality matcha. This has become a rarity these days. Why are we still able to supply Uji matcha? It's limited, to be sure. Because Pieter Loridon, our owner, has had a strong relationship with the farm since 2012, a time when matcha was still barely talked about (outside of Japan). He personally traveled to Kyoto-Uji in 2012 and, after many visits, selected the farm that was the first to adopt organic practices. A bond was forged. A handshake was exchanged (see photo). That's why we're still able to offer authentic matcha today.
