What is INCI Beauty score

The INCI Beauty score is a rating from 0 to 20 that a cosmetic product receives on the INCI Beauty app. The score is determined by the ingredients, with each ingredient assigned a color code (green, yellow, orange, red) indicating how "problematic" it is; the more red flowers, the more controversial the ingredient. A higher INCI Beauty score therefore means the product contains fewer controversial ingredients and is considered safer.

How does it work?

Analyze products : You can use the app to analyze the ingredients list (the INCI list) of a cosmetic product.

Colour system : Each ingredient is assigned a colour symbol (flower), from green (safe/less problematic) to red (very problematic/controversial).
Overall Score : Based on the analysis of all ingredients, the product is given an overall score between 0 and 20, with a higher score indicating a better product.
